About the Recipe

Naan- softest and fluffiest bread without yeast, cooked on regular cooktop

Ingredients


  • 4 cups of flour

  • ⅔ cups (160ml) of warm water

  • ½ cup of curd

  • 1 tsp of baking powder

  • ½ tsp of baking soda

  • 1 tsp of sugar

  • ½ tsp of salt

  • 1 tsp of Olive oil

For Garnishing:

  • Fresh cilantro (dhaniya leaves), finely chopped

  • Black sesame seeds

Preparation


Soft and Fluffy No-Yeast Naan Recipe

  1. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine curd, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and mix well.

  2. Knead the Dough: Sift in the flour and knead into a soft dough. Add olive oil, knead again, and let it rest for 30 minutes covered with a damp cloth.

  3. Divide and Roll: After 30 minutes, divide the dough into 6 parts. Roll each into a ball, then gently roll out into a long rectangle on a floured surface.

  4. Add Garnishes: Sprinkle cilantro leaves and black sesame seeds on one side. Brush water on the other side.

  5. Cook on Pan: Heat an iron pan on medium heat. Place the water side down, cover, and cook on low to medium heat. When bubbles rise, flip the pan, cooking until golden brown.

  6. Finishing Touch: Remove from the pan and brush with melted butter.
